Every call has a beginning
A quiet moment when God
whispers a promise to a mother’s heart.
A holy place where a father bows
and faithfully accepts the journey set before him.
A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns…
Casting its first light on a chosen threshold.
A gentle knock..a closed door opens.
A sacred invitation sent by the Father
Leads to the other side of the world.
Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows
Praying for someone to care..
And then one morning,
On an ordinary day
An orphan’s life changes...
God sends them a second chance...
Through you.

Beautiful words Sandy. Thank you for the kind comments you sent me. I am so glad to hear from you. Sorry I have been MIA so long. Just been staying busy this Summer. I love your blog redesign, very cute. You are getting so close to Chloe, can you believe it??? It's almost time. The end of this long wait is near I think.
hugs,
Jonni
I didn't realize you were blogging regularly again! You have been added to my bloglines and I will check in for each new post. I love the pictures of you and your pups in the nursery. Too cute! I can relate to your seeking out a new church, too. I did that just last year, and while I'm not involved in anything just yet, I know it was a change the Lord had planned for me. I've learned things there that are helping me in my present circumstances. I'm jonesin' for a service right now. Might have to go tonight and leave my man to fend for himself at dinner time. We'll see.
I also appreciated your comments about single woman and their married women tormentors. I was single so dang long that I still relate more to that lifestage than the one I'm in. You have my utmost respect and understanding. Being a single woman can be so hard. But the Lord is a father to the fatherless and he cares for the widow (I think we can extend that to all the single ladies!). He will be there for you over and over again.
I'm excited to begin following your journey again!
P.S. I was just kidding when I used the word "tormentors". They don't mean to be that way, I know.
