In pictures...February

Optional titles for this post..."things I wasn't going to do before becoming a mom" or "yes, I'm one of those moms."
  • Before becoming a mom I wasn't going to have my toddler watch tv.  Now, can I just say that Barney rocks! (see photo below)
  • I wasn't going to have my child use a pacifier.  (what was I thinking?) (see photo below)

Valentine cuteness ahead...yes, I insist on bows when starting an outting and especially a photo-op.

Chloe continues to insist that bows are not necessary.  She even goes so far as to do random "bow-checks" (puts hand on head to check for extraneous wearings).  She wins this battle...but I'm not ready to admit defeat and already have her bow picked out for my wedding, the bow which she won't wear and I apparently wasted my money on.  And this was such a cute butterfly bow sent from another Chloe LuYun (a blog with a fascinating story on how their family grew when they found out their Chloe LuYun was a twin while in China to adopt her)!

Heading to the playroom...enough with the photos already...

Random cuteness in red... love, love, love those baby thighs!

On the move (a regular occurrence since learning to crawl)...

Still chasing her with the camera...both of us may a bit *ahem* stubborn...

  1. Great pictures! Life with Chloe looks like a lot of fun - with or without bows! :)

  2. Sandy, if she likes TV you need to get her some Mei Mei DVDs! She'll love them! Start her with #4, http://www.amazon.com/Dance-Learn-Chinese-Mei-Vol/dp/B0002J4ZR8/ref=sr_1_3?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1299353979&sr=1-3 It's the one all the girls love. :-)

  3. Oops, sorry about the url link, just go to amazon and search for Mei Mei and then look for #4, I think it's called Dance and Learn Chinese with Mei Mei.

  4. She's so precious! Don't worry about the parenting ideas that went bust ... most all of us do our best parenting BEFORE we actually become parents, haha. Then reality sets in and we get through life one day at a time, doing what is best for our family! And blog slacker is a common disease ... I think it has been over 2 months since I updated ours. OOPS!

    Enjoy mommyhood!

  5. Baby thighs? They look like MY thighs. Her hope is she'll be able to outgrow hers. LOL. It was good to have you peek over at our blog via the RQ posting. You daughter is a doll. Even better...your mom and sister are SAINTS. Your plane ride home, although I was not sick, was a LOT like mine. UGH. Only true love like family can help you out they way they did. I totally understand how it feels to know you need to get up and help your child but you have to have someone else do it. BTDT.
Anyhoo....sounds like your life is exciting and ever changing. Good for you.
    Best,
    Vicki
